About the position. This is a non-public job description for a co-founder, senior researcher or scientist to join our team. This is a senior role aimed at developing the computational frameworks to analyze the datasets our lab generates for creating models using standard statistical, reinforcement learning and/or foundation model approaches. This position is funded flexibly via equity-salary mix (and other options).

Project examples: We have begun developing several projects that bridge the gap between functional mouse brain recordings and WBE. The position holder would be expected to supervise and work on (some of) these projects and develop similar ones in the short term. These projects are still semiprivate, and actively being developed:

1. Behavior only WBE paradigms: link

Qualifications:
We expect the position to be taken up by someone with experience in computational neuroscience including traditional modeling approaches, but also some knowledge with transformer-based language models. As this is a senior position, strong organizational and project management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are critical. We expect that additional researchers would be hired and supervised under this position.
